The rendered bar graph illustrates the information about number of hours spent on leisure by men and women seven days per week from 1998 to 1999, according to gender and their socio-economic status. The data has been calibrated in numbers.
In an overview, it is clear that in the case of both genders, unemployed and retired people mostly engaged in recreation, contrarily full-time employees devoted the least number of hours per week to leisure.
It is apparent from the given data, that there was a negligible difference of 5 hours between the amount of time spent on leisure by males and females who were full-time employees. Surprisingly, only part-time female employees were witnessed participating in spare-time activities for 40 hours on a weekly basis.
Examining further, the count of hours assigned to fun activities by retired males and females constituted to approximately 82 hours and almost 79 hours sequentially. Lastly, in the categories for which statistics on male leisure time were available, men enjoyed at least ten hours of extra leisure time.
